The Norlab VM-1 Vortex Mixer from Amtech Design is by far the most reliable, value for money vortex mixer on the market.

 

The DC brushless motor and belt drive make the vortexer incredibly powerful. Plus, this unique motor system will far outlast conventional DC brush motors found on the market.

 

The Vortex Mixer can operate at speeds of 100 to 2500rpm.

 

The vortexer gives operators two modes of operation. The Touch mode sets the vortex mixer to engage whenever the holder is pressed. When longer mixing times are required the user can set the vortexer to Continuous mode, allowing the sample to be mixed without the need to press down on the holder.

 

Built to last, the Mixer is constructed out of heavy-duty polycarbonate plastic. This sturdy material is strong enough to resist breakage with minor impacts. Chemical-resistant, the vortexer can withstand even harsh laboratory environments and can be operated in ambient temperatures of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius. Despite its strength and durability, the vortex mixer weighs less than 1 kilogram, so it can easily be moved throughout the laboratory space as needed. The external voltage sensing power supply has interchangeable plugs for use in the US, the European Union, the UK and Australia.

 

Completing the design are the suction rubber feet positioned on the bottom of the mixer. These durable feet help to prevent shifting and walking during operation, protecting both the sample and the laboratory bench.

 

To ensure the quality of results and maintain the integrity of samples, the Norlab Vortex Mixer complies with multiple safety standards. including EN 61326-1:2006 (Electrical equipment for measurement, control & laboratory use),  EN 61010-1:2010 (Safety requirements Electrical equipment for measurement, control & laboratory use) and EN 61010-2-051:2003 (Particular requirements for laboratory equipment for mixing and stirring). The mixer can be used with test tubes up to 16/20mm in size and comes with a complete set of instructions, safety guidelines and best practices for operation.
