ABI PRISM 7700 Sequence Detection System

Real Time PCR

The ABI PRISM 7700 Sequence Detection System is a fully integrated system for real-time detection of PCR (polymerase chain reaction). The system includes a built-in 96-well thermal cycler, a laser to induce fluorescence, CCD (charge-coupled device) detector.  The 7700 also can simultaneously measure more than one fluorescence wavelength per well. This means that endogenous controls can be run either as parallel reactions in separate wells or within the same well as the sample (multiplex PCR).

Condition:
The Serial RS232 to 8 pin DIN cable is with it.
The 7700 Initialises and indicates ready and the unit warms up. However we could not test the Refridgerant.
We downloaded Gene Runner and connected successfully, however we do not have the knowledge on site to run any samples.

The software is Primer express 3 from Thermo, however they charge £470.00
